Mike Howard grew up in the Dillsburg area and graduated from Northern York County High School in 1996. Mike attended Lebanon Valley College and graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in French. After college, Mike earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Maryland and lived in the Baltimore/Annapolis area. After working for a consulting firm in Arlington, Virginia for about a year, Mike decided to attend law school and graduated with honors in 2008 from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
Mike began his career as a management-side labor and employment attorney in Baltimore before returning to Central Pennsylvania. In addition to his criminal law practice, Mike handles all types of family law matters including divorce, alimony, child custody and support, adoption, grandparent visitation/custody, protection from abuse orders, and actions involving Children and Youth Services. He also represents employees in disputes with their current or former employers including claims for unpaid wages and overtime, cases where employees have suffered sex, age, and race harassment by coworkers or supervisors, and cases involving illegal discrimination, including disability discrimination and actions by Whistleblowers.
Mike has a strong commitment to client service and makes certain that his clients understand their options and how they can best achieve their goals. Mike believes in providing an honest and transparent assessment of what a client can expect as a case moves forward and takes the time to get to know his clients and keep them informed.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his two sons.
